Safran DSI designed the MCTM, a RF Simulator Modulator, with unique capabilities that fits everywhere, from labs to ground stations.

Using state-of-the-art FPGA processing and integrated designs, this compact 1U unit is able to generate IRIG compliant telemetry at RF level in all IRIG bands. Dual RF outputs enable channel simulation of demanding dual polarization scenario such as multi-path, noise, cross-polarization leak and doppler.
Its multichannel capability enables to validate a whole ground station with multiple receivers in a single, cost-effective test.

Its extensive list of inputs enables to interface with virtually any external data sources: Ethernet (UDP CH10, RCC218 or direct Ethernet through CH7 encapsulation) or PCM CH4 (TTL / RS422).  Various internal data sources are also available such as PRBS, ASCII Files or even CH10 files: simply pick a CH10 file and select the PCM channels to modulate! 


Supported encoding schemes include IRIG framing, LDPC, Reed-Solomon and STC. As an option, it can also include the Telemetry Receiver Testing Package for intensive testing, logging and characterization of your demodulator performance: acquisition time, BER curves, DQM- implementation and much more.
