Joseph H. Bogosian

Joe Bogosian is a distinguished executive with over 25 years of leadership experience across the aerospace, defense, technology and government sectors. As the President & CEO of Safran Defense & Space Inc. (Safran DSI), Joe is recognized for his ability to drive organizational transformation, deliver significant financial results and manage complex multinational operations. Under his leadership, Safran DSI is positioned as a key partner to the US Department of Defense, federal space and intelligence agencies and other government entities driving critical missions.
Before joining Safran, Joe held several prominent roles in both government and industry. He served in the US Department of Transportation as Assistant Administrator for International Aviation at the Federal Aviation Administration (FAA), where he successfully negotiated key aviation agreements on behalf of the US government. He also served at the US Department of Commerce as Deputy Assistant Secretary for Manufacturing, where he led initiatives to strengthen US manufacturing competitiveness on the global stage.
During his nearly 20-year tenure at Safran, Joe has successfully led several key business units. As President & CEO of Safran Trusted 4D, he oversaw post-acquisition integration, ensuring the delivery of resilient and assured positioning, navigation and timing (PNT) solutions across defense and commercial markets. While serving as President & CEO of Optics 1, Inc., Joe successfully led the company through a significant restructuring and drove 4x revenue growth.
Joe's academic background includes a strong foundation in law, international relations and business management. He earned a Juris Doctor from the University of Miami School of Law, where he focused on international law and litigation. Joe earned his Bachelor of Science from Georgetown University’s Edmund A. Walsh School of Foreign Service. He also holds a Georgetown University McDonough School of Business Executive Education Certificate in International Business Management and a Harvard Business School certificate in Finance for Senior Executives.
